Hard work, hard play equal success
Chief executive of TrayGames, an online multiplayer gaming community, Pantuso recently offered students at Upper Valley Joint Vocational School tips on designing video games 鈥?and a warning.
Don't assume that because you like playing games, you'll like designing them, Pantuso told students.
"It's kind of like going to work at a meat factory because you like to eat steak," he said.
A Washington Twp. resident, Pantuso, 37, grew up near Milwaukee. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering but dropped out. At the time, he was working at PKWare, creator of the ZIP file format.
"After a while, I realized I was learning way more at work," Pantuso said.
He was also earning six figures at age 23, making tools to edit video games.
