Whatever the impression "Journeys" cards end up making on the public overall, Musick said they are intended to provide "hope in an envelope."
It's something Musick, whose parents are both cancer survivors, can personally see a need for. She said she hopes "Journeys" can help fulfill that need of support for others as it has for her in addressing her parents' illnesses.
"It can be extremely healing and comforting to know that somebody is acknowledging a difficult situation, not just ignoring it," Musick said. "I am really pleased that Hallmark is doing Journeys' because I think it fills a need for a lot of people and I think it is really going to help a lot of people connect."
